Dr. Bassett

Dr. Michael Bassett is the owner of Pet Dominion, an amazing, state of the art veterinary facility located in Rockville Maryland. This week I had the privilege of spending the day with Dr. Bassett, Dr. Garrison, and their wonderful staff. Having worked in a veterinary clinic myself, years ago, I think the thing that impressed me the most about Dr. Bassett’s practice was the fact that every surgical procedure that I witnessed while shooting this photo story was done with a laser! It was a pleasure to photograph such a friendly group pf people who are so dedicated to helping animals. Here are a few images.

Snow Day.

This week was the first time Bren had ever seen snow. She was stoked.

Pose-out photo of the day

Bernadette took this high-fassion photo of Bren and I. I like it becasue it reminds me of a Rineke Dijkstra photo. I was really happy becasue it was the coldest day so far this year but I couldn't smile because my face was frozen and also because I didn't want to ruin my pose-out pose.

Phil.

On Wednesday I photographed a funeral with full honors for a family at Arlington National Cemetery. I won’t be showing many of those pictures here, out of respect for the family, however I am posting a few photos that are a great beginning to a photo essay about the funeral director that ran proceedings that day.

Kenny Brown!!!!!

Nestled in the heart of historic Fredericksburg Virginia you can find Jack Brown’s Tattoo Rival, co-owned by Kenny Brown, one of the friendliest and coolest people I’ve met. Kenny is currently one the top tattoo artists in the country and his work is sought after by people willing to book appointments months in advance. Kenny has been featured in National Geographic and his shop has even hosted charity events. If you’re thinking about some permanent artwork definitely visit Jack Brown’s!
